The Ndidi Kareem Feruke Bello Foundation, brainchild of Lady Ndidi Feruke Bello, a UK-based medical practitioner and entrepreneur, has been a beacon of hope for the less fortunate. As a devoted philanthropist and human capacity builder, Lady Ndidi has remained steadfast in her commitment to empowering her community.
Since its inception five years ago, the foundation has made significant strides in widow empowerment, orphan education, and community development services. One of its most notable achievements was the investment of over a million Naira in road infrastructure development in Utali-Umuagu. The foundation also expanded its scholarship scheme, adopting more beneficiaries and providing them with opportunities for educational advancement.
In line with her pledge to put smiles on the faces of young widows, Lady Ndidi, who lost her husband at a tender age, distributed bags of rice to widows in Mbato Autonomous Community. The recipients were overjoyed and showered blessings and prayers on their benefactor.
The foundation's humanitarian efforts extended to the treatment of Chimechefulem Chukwuma, a young boy who suffered multiple fractures after a fall. After a successful bone surgery and a three-month hospital stay, the boy is now able to walk, albeit with the assistance of a walking stick.
In a bid to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Igbo people, the foundation donated #300,000 to the youths of Utali to purchase local musical instruments. This gesture was met with widespread appreciation and enthusiasm.
During the Ohuhu Unity Cup, the foundation intervened to alleviate the suffering of the Sharks of Ofeme football team. Lady Ndidi's selfless efforts have earned her the admiration and gratitude of the people of Mbato, Ofeme, and beyond.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the community, Lady Ndidi was awarded the prestigious title of "Golden Mother" during the 2025 Youth Carnival in Ofeme. As the foundation sets its sights on expanding its influence and impact in 2025, the people of Ohuhu and Ofeme eagerly anticipate another year of transformative initiatives.
